Journey into Actun Tunichil Muknal, one of Belize's most extraordinary archaeological and natural attractions. Hidden within the rainforest of western Belize, ATM was an important ceremonial cave for the ancient Maya. Reaching the cave involves a rainforest hike and river crossings before arriving at the entrance.

Inside, follow a specially licensed guide through an underground landscape involving walking, wading and swimming. Deeper chambers contain evidence of ancient Maya ceremonies, including pottery, artifacts and human remains. The cave's best-known archaeological feature is the calcified skeleton commonly called the Crystal Maiden.
